[Crab Season Opens] Crab fishing starts again on 6 November
Crab season is finally here again this year!
The season opens on 6 November every year, and crab starts appearing in the shops from the following day.
On the day after the opening, many markets hold events to celebrate the start of the crab season!
At Omicho Market, Kanazawa's kitchen, a Crab Festival is held every year, where you can buy freshly caught snow crab and where each shop starts serving superb dishes made with crab!
In previous years crab soup has been handed out on the day of the Crab Festival, but with the pandemic we do not yet know whether it will be offered this year, so we will share the information as soon as we know!
If it does go ahead, the crab soup is limited in quantity, so if you really want to try it, come early!!!
